Sylvia was born, raised, and educated in The Netherlands. She moved to the United States of America in her early twenties and lived there for about 30 years where she worked as an elementary school teacher for almost 20 years. Since she moved to Israel seven years ago, she has been working as a private English tutor and a teacher at the Dutch School. Sylvia is looking forward to teaching in 1st Grade. She loves watching children learn and grow, not only academically, but also socially and developmentally. When she is not teaching, she loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loves to hike, bike, read, and travel
