Leah is from New Haven, Connecticut . She is very excited to be a part of the 5th grade team as team coordinator and to get to know and deepen her relationships with the children as they learn together this year. Leah has always enjoyed teaching and working with children in both formal and informal settings. She studied psychology at Stern College for Women and shortly after began working at Luria Academy of Brooklyn for 6 years. Leah loves learning and teaching through playing games, songs, movement, drama, projects, child led research, and developing children's ideas and critical thinking skills. Leah made Aliyah to Jerusalem in August 2019, and worked as a machlifa at Zarkor for a few months before teaching in second grade for the past 4 years
